About Aliya

My name is Aliya and I'm the creator behind Aliya Created. Aliya Created is a handmade business specializing in dessert/sweets-inspired 100% soy wax candles, wax melts, and clay trinkets. 

In 2021, I began researching how to make candles. It took over a year for me to perfect candle making. There's a whole science behind it, it's more than just pouring wax into a jar. I started off making candles for fun, as a hobby.

Before launching my candle business in 2022, I was a faithful store-bought candle buyer. I'd never leave a store without buying one. I realized that not a lot of businesses offered uniquely scented candles and wax melts, that are both beautifully designed and 100% non toxic. I've always been into super sweet, gourmand scents but stores usually don't offer a large variety of those. I'm absolutely obsessed with anything sweet and felt like people were missing out on those types of candles and melts. As much as I loved buying candles, I thought it would be cool to create the type of scented candles that I didn't see in store.

Eventually, I dabbled into wax melts and even whipped wax candles. It's been history ever since.

Eventually, I stopped making whipped wax dessert candles because there wasn't a huge demand for them. However, I decided to continue making dessert wax melts and cereal candles! :)

Candles and wax melts are something that majority of people love. It's a form of self care even. They also make great gifts. The options are endless, you can even make your own fragrance oil blends for unique scents (something I always do)!

I've always been a creative person so it doesn't just stop at candles and wax melts. I also make handcrafted clay trinkets, charms, and keychains. :) Eventually, I'd also like to get into sewing and food-safe ceramics.
